The Story of LGW

SUMMARY 2003-2008

L. G. White World of Art Association is a non profit organisation free from any political or religious views, influenced by no other organisation. LGW’s aims are realised in cooperation with its supporters and international partners.

L. G. White World of Art’s scheme of foundation was written by founder Géza L. Fehér (L. G. White) in 2003, in Szeged, Hungary. After the thorough preparation of the complex cultural project the founder launched the program in 2004 with a one-year-long exploratory work uncovering the hidden artistic treasures of Hungary.

The investigation tour lasted 12 months, a journey around the whole country. 150 Hungarian artists were visited personally and the origins of their works of art were authenticated. Today LGW has contractual relation with 100 Hungarian contemporary artists, who make a significant part of the project. Their nearly 1000 works of art are available for everyone through LGW, on display in LGW’s Art Treasury.

In autumn 2004 LGW chose to make the historical town of Eger (Northern Hungary) its seat, since this part of the country provides outstanding geographical conditions for the project’s successful operation.

With the approval of L. G. White World of Art, in February 2005 L. G. White World of Art Association was founded as a non govermental/non profit organisation. The Association is still managed by L. G. White World of Art as the owner of the project. At the request of president Katalin Erdei the Court of Heves County (Hungary) ordered the registration of the L. G. White World of Art Association (registry number: 1819). The order of court (No. Pk.60.134/2004/4.) became legally binding on 17 March, 2005.

As part of their social activity, LGW organised auctions on behalf of other non profit organisations, offering works of LGW artists.

L. G. White World of Art’s scheme of foundation was presented to Dr. Konrad F. Kaschek, managing director of Rexroth Bosch Group in Eger, Hungary, who found LGW’s mission valuable, therefore supported LGW with a set of technical devices so that the Association could continue its work in its new Eger office. LGW could start building its international partnerships, as well as elaborating its theme programs in Eger. This work was aided financially by ZF Hungaria Ltd, as well.

Of the photos taken during its national investigation tour LGW prepared a musical Art Show, and held its first performance in autumn 2005 in Urania Picture-Theatre, Eger. Since this presentation LGW has projected its National Art Show to LGW’s various guests, as part of its Original from the Original program.

In the fourth year of its project LGW got an opportunity to expand its Eger seat with a European Union Agency in Northern Ireland.

In May 2006 LGW’s Northern Ireland Agency started to establish its new connections and prepared the New Vacation Hungary program for its guests. Since there was no direct flight between Belfast and Budapest at that time, LGW could not launch its holiday programs for the next summer. LGW contacted numerous airlines and finally Aer Lingus Ltd. listed Budapest as one of the direct destinations from Belfast, starting in February 2008. This way the New Vacation Hungary 2008 program was given a clear signal.

In the meantime a different part of LGW’s programs was brought forward in August 2006, written for the elderly generation with the title Life is Still Smiling on You.

Within LGW’s Protect and Discover Nature program future partners are being contacted, at present we are seeking points of mutual interest with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) with the aim of establishing an international partnership.
